Rodizia is out of our Palma Campina. Rodizia grew up as part of the herd at Bradstone Stud and was backed late 2006. Rodizia is very athletic with an excellent conformation, she is 'a born leader', with a good temperament and she looks fantastic. There is no doubt that if Rodizia had been taller, she would be sent to Germany for further training. As it is, I have the pleasure of riding her and Rodizia will instead be sold. She will most certainly be a wonderful 'small rider' dressage horse with high potential for dressage.

Rodizia was backed & in training under saddle Dec 2006 until May 2007 with Catherine Burrell at Maizey Manor Farm, Ogbourne St.Andrew, Wiltshire. Rodizia was thereafter back home with the herd at Bradstone as she is a late developer. Her training continued between October 2007 and January 2008 whereafter I brought her back home. I ride Rodizia myself since October 2008 "on the lanes and roads, on the moor, in the fields, through dairy farms and in the dressage arena". Rodizia is muscular and fit and she is a wonderful ride.

Natalie Hobday was very impressed with Rodizia's development in August 2009. She showed a wonderful, round canter, a very good trot still under development and a good walk, swinging from behind. Rodizia now accept the reins correctly, working in to the bit from behind. She has thus now reached a stage in her education from which she will develop correctly. I will sell her only if the right buyer is interested. Otherwise, I am very happy to have her at home and to continue to ride her myself.

Rodizia's dam, Palma Campina was sold as one of the top lots at the Verden Elite Auction Autumn 1996. Palma has the most wonderful temperament, conformation and gaits. One of our most well known International dressage riders and judges said "it is such a great pity that Palma Campina did not end up with a rider willing or able to bring her on to the top in dressage" but this is our gain as she is such a world class broodmare performer. Palma is a born leader but is very kind to those who treat her with due respect. She has been described "as a big cat" in her movements. She produces stunning forward-going individuals with amazing gaits & flexibility for dressage with positive intelligence. See "Our Horses"
