Q is out of our Palma Campina (see Our Horses). A full sister born 1998 was sold to the USA. One younger sister and brother are still at Bradstone Stud and they are both outstanding individuals. For sire and dam-lines, please see Donnerhall and Pik Bube I in Related Stallions. The breeding combination of these sires is exceptional and it is hard to find a broodmare producing better dressage prospects than Palma Campina!

Q can simply be described as the most wonderful filly! Everyone seeing her is duly impressed. Dancing Queen is such an appropriate name, she simply has no faults, she is beautiful and has three wonderful paces! If you are looking for a small horse , riding big, you will not find a better Grand Prix prospect anywhere!

Q is very positive and obedient and is doing exceptionally well in training & competed in novice classes for young horses in Germany during 2005. She has started (March 2006) doing walk pirouettes, shoulder-in, travers, half pass in trot, counter canter and and single flying changes and is being held back in training as it is far too easy to forget her tender age. Dancing Queen has a super "rideablility", incredible temperament and a fantastic learning capacity. She was placed 2nd in two elementary competitions in Germany during July 2006.

Q is trained and ridden by the long established International Grand Prix rider Natalie Hobday (at Jonny Hilberath barn), Germany since late 2004. Natalies ability to produce horses correctly prepared for and competing at the top level is 2nd to none. The horses are not pushed, everything has to take its time working naturally forward, carrying themselves with diligence and active hind quarters, maintaining rhythm, suppleness and impulsion. Extensions are done when the horses are ready to do them correctly. There are no exceptions.

We do look for good and correct paces as youngsters and Qs three paces are certainly correct but were always extremely good. It is a bold statement to make but you will not find a more suitable horse for dressage, correctly ridden and trained anywhere!

Dancing Queen was sold in September 2006 to one of the best young dressage riders in South Africa.

Dancing Queen is (SANEF) Junior Novice Champion of South Africa 2007.
